Background
Abha Parekh completed her B.A. at Pomona College in Claremont, California, where she majored in International Relations. She has worked as a research intern at the New York-branch of Freedom House, a think-tank based in Washington D.C. that promotes democracy and human rights around the world. She conducted research for their 'Freedom on the Net' project, as well as their annual 'Freedom of the Press' and 'Freedom in the World' projects. Before that, she has interned at the Centre for Civil Society in New Delhi, and the Afternoon Newspaper in Mumbai.
Her research interests include international relations, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.
Presently
She is working as a Fellow at the Mumbai chapter of the foundation
