1. Education. Bhaskar spent almost 10 years as a teacher and an education administrator. He is involved with education even toda. y, both as the chairman of E-convergence Technologies Limited (www.yes2etl.com) which is an education infrastructure, services and consultancy company. He is also advisor on distant learning with Don Bosco Institute of Technology, and work with other educationists in areas relating to functional literacy and development of vocational skills. He continues to take lectures at colleges in Mumbai on medica, communications, and social development, and speaks in India and overseas on education and skill development. He also owns patents relating to examination certification from the UK Patent Office and from the government of India.
2. Journalism: Has spent almost 20 years aas a journalist, and is currently the consulting editor of DNA (www.dnaindia.com). He was formerly the associate editor of Indian Express, executive editor of Financial Express, and editor of Express InvestmentWeek. He was also consulting editor with DVV Media (www.dvvmedia.com), Hamburg-Germany-headquartered publishing group focused on logistics, and consulting editor with Forbes India (PART OF Network 18).
3. Policy research - did a great deal of work in this area when working with the Indian Express group, and thereafter with Forbes India and DNA. Am involved in policy related issues with Observer Research Foundation as well.

Masters in English, with short term courses relating to Financial management in educational institutions. Has studied German as well for four years.
Presently
Advisor with Observer Research Foundation, Consulting Editor, DNA, and involved with education and some other social causes (like the right to die with dignity).
