Background
Mr. Nandan did M.A. (Political Science) from JNU. From the year 2001 to 2004 he was Independent filmmaker and Freelance Journalist.

His television productions during this period are: Documentary on Indo-Russian defence ties telecast by Doordarshan, a documentary on Indo-Russian Relations in English and Russian for the Ministry of External Affairs, a T.V.serial on Indian Classical Music "Swaranjali" for IGNOU, a 45-minute film on three Russian painters, for Ministry of External Affairs, A documentary film on the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan, directed for AIM Television.

His articles on late Ahmed Shah Masood were published in Frontline. Interview with Masood was published in The Hindu. His various articles on Russia and Central Asia were published in Financial Express.

From the period 2000-2001 he was Content Head of Brandquiver Dotcom. During 1998 to 1999 he was Head of Television International. From 1995 to 1998 he was Executive Editor of TVI. He held the position of International News Coordinator of TVI from April to December 1995. He was Bureau Chief of PTI in Moscow from Jan’92 to Feb’95. During 1985 to 1987 he was deputed as a Research Fellow in IDSA by PTI.

He is working in Eurasian Studies Programme under ORF ? Centre for International Relations.
