Background
Dr. Uma Purushothaman has done her Ph.D from the US Studies Division in JNU. She has done her M. Phil (US Studies) and MA (International Relations), both from JNU. She has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission. Before joining ORF, she worked with the United Services Institution of India (USI) and SAGE Publications. Her areas of interest include US foreign and domestic policies, human security, food security, foreign aid and soft power.
Presently
She is working in the US Studies Program.
