Pakistan fears US attacks

Islamabad: Daily Jasarat, May 10, 2010. There is little doubt that after Iraq and Afghanistan, the US is planning to attack Pakistan. Robert Black, Deputy Secretary of the State, advised Pakistan to expand military operations into Punjab. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also threatened Pakistan with severe consequences should a Times Square-like incident were to take place again. This is not new, America for long has killed Muslims in cold blood. It has killed scores of Pakhtoons in drone attacks. More than 1000 Pakhtoon youngsters have been prisoned in illegal prisons. America's real intention is to seize Pakistan's nuclear weapons and will soon enter Pakistan in the guise of searching for bin Laden.

MMA unites against America

Islamabad: Daily Jasarat, May 12, 2010. All religious political parties previously amalgamated under the banner of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) finally begun to show signs of reuniting during a conference held at the residence of JUI Chief Fazlur Rahman. MMA ceased to exist three years ago. Former JI Chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad, Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi, Liyaqat Baloch, Abdurraheem Naqshbandi, and others attended the reunification celebration against America and its 'slave rulers' Asif Ali Zardari and Yousaf Raza Gillani. JUI Chief Fazlur Rahman repented his support to the PPP government, and said that American drone attacks will soon pave the way for a full fledged invasion of Pakistan.

Fazlur Rahman and other religious leaders declared in a joint press meet that all MMA Assembly members will resign from their parliamentary seats. Former JI chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad accused Zardari, Gillani and even Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Kiyani of succumbing to the American pressure. He promised to end 'US slavery' soon. He predicted that an Islamic revolution will soon take place in Pakistan, much like the Iranian revolution of 1979. He also termed the American statement suggesting that Mullah Omar and Osama bin Laden were in Pakistan, as mere excuses to attack Pakistan.

Why is Shahbaz patronising banned organisations in Punjab?

Lahore: Daily Ausaf/Jasarat, May 11, 2010. It cannot be denied that PML (N) President and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is patronising many banned organisations in Punjab. Groups like the Lashkar-i-Tayyibah and Jaish-i-Mohammad have renamed their organizations and resumed activities. Under Shahbaz Sharif, the Taliban have found a convenient political front.

Kayani briefs Gillani and Zardari

Islamabad: Daily Khabrain/Jasarat, May 14, 2010. Chief of Pakistan Army General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani met with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Sayyed Yousuf Raza Gillani, and discussed the ongoing military operations against the Taliban. Highlighting the complexities of full-fledged operations in North Waziristan, he said that the timing of the operation will depend on Pakistan's understanding of the conflict.

Pakistan should follow Iranian nuclear policy

Islamabad: Daily Jasarat, May 15, 2010. The American, British and French representatives boycotted a session in which Iranian President Ahmadinejad spoke on world nuclear policy during the NPT Review conference held in the United Nations. The NPT was signed by 189 countries. Pakistan, India, and Israel continue oppose the treaty. The Iranian President demanded to oust US from the governing board of International Atomic Energy Agency as it is the only country in history to have used nuclear weapons, and has no right to talk about a nuclear free world.

Ahmadinejad accused the international community of duplicity in controlling arms proliferation. Israel, he said, was given nuclear weapons by America, Britain and France. Half of the 23000 nuclear weapons are stored in America, he said. He questioned why India was exempted from international laws and given access to nuclear technology. He said that Britain, France, Russia, China India, and Israel are all likely to use nuclear weapons against Muslim countries in the future. Pakistani media and defense analysts, often urge the government to follow the Iranian nuclear policy to meet nuclear power challenges in South Asia.
