Al-Zawahiri wishes Pak and Afghan Militant Groups

Lahore: Daily Jasarat, December 16, 2009. Al-Qaeda deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri sent his wishes to the different militant groups operating in Pakistan and Afghanistan. In his message posted on the Internet, he said that President Obama was following the policy of ’Crusaders and Jews to enslave Muslims’ all over the world. He said that Barack Obama’s Middle-east peace process has failed and now he is trying to cheat the Arab world. Zawahiri also criticized Jordon and Egypt’s leaders of being part of the ’Crusade revolution’. His urged Muslims to move steadily towards winning the war against Israel, which he said should not be limited to liberating Palestine.

Jamat-i-Islami protests against Indo-US partnership

Quetta: Daily Khabrain, December 17 2009. Pakistan’s Jamat-i-Islami started an agitation against the growing Indo-US partnership. JI Punjab unit held a rally at Karachi on December 13 and is all set to hold province wide demonstrations, meetings and rallies in Balochistan. It is scheduled to commence on December 20 from Rawalpindi, and would conclude on December 28, the day of ’Ashoorah’ Muharram in Quetta, the Baloch capital after seven protest demonstrations held in different cities of the province.

JI leaders alleged that many unidentified Americans and Indians are residing in Balochistan and are freely exploiting innocent Baloch nationals and turning them into suicide bombers. JUI Leader Molvi Mohammad Haneef said that the protest against Indo-Pak partnership must continue till the end of their subversion of Pakistan. JI will propagate new slogans, "O! America-O! America, Leave India- Go America". JI Chief Munawwar Hussein said that Indian Jamat-i-Islami supports the JI stance on the Indo-US partnership, and they are preparing a massive protest to be launched in Muslim populated regions in India soon.

Zardari in political danger

Islamabad: Daily Khabrain, December 18, 2009.After the Supreme Court rejected the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), President Zardari is surrounded by grave political dangers. It is possible that he could be produced in court to defend himself against cases of corruption dating back to the regime of Benazir Bhutto. If impeachment proceedings are initiated against him, he will require two-third of the votes in National assembly. The famous law-maker Fakhruddin Ibraheem underlined his doubts to re-open the cases registered against Zardari and opined that the decision rests with the Supreme Court.

Islamic leaders are Indian agents: Sunni Tahreek

Karachi: Weekly Takbeer, December 18, 2009.The Sunni Tahreek is capable to counter the Indian intentions inside Pakistan. Aftab Qadri, leader of the Sunni Tahreek told media persons, that many of the so called religious leaders are in fact Indian agents and are playing political gimmicks to destroy the PPP democratic government. The chief of the Sunni Tahreek Ejaz Qadri said that the Tahreek members are trying to counter terrorism through providing the masses with an alternate Islamic roadmap and have been demanding the setting up of special courts for the same.

Meanwhile Ejaz Qadri revealed that nineteen women suicide bombers belonging to the Tehreek-i-Taliban have been sent to disturb peace during the ten days of Muharram. According to sources, big cities including Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, and Rawalpindi are in danger. He disclosed that more than eighty women police officials recently went on leave in protest of the government not providing proper weapons to challenge women terrorists and suicide bombers.
