Alstom T&D bags ' 1.7 bn contracts from Power Grid

June 20, 2012.Alstom T&D India said it has bagged two equipment supply contracts worth ' 176 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL). The first contract, worth ' 105 crore, is the largest order for 765 kV shunt reactors awarded to the company to date. The order is for supply, erection, testing and commissioning of reactors for high voltage substations at Gaya in Bihar, Ranchi in Jharkhand, Dharamjaygarh in Chhattisgarh and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, the company said. The second contract, worth ' 71 crore, is for supply, erection, testing and commissioning of reactors including complete civil work, for two substations at Padghe and Aurangabad in Maharashtra.
